Statutes
RBSM is a non-profit organisation. Its' sole purpose is to promote microscopy initiatives. The rules for the organisation of the Board are engraved in the statutes which are openly available here (pdf).
History
Belgium has played an important role in the development and exploitation of microscopy in material science and biomedicine. Prof. Em. Dirk Van Dyck has written a comprehensive review in 'Adv Imaging Electron Phys' (pdf).
Council
The RBSM Council serves as interface between the Board and the General Assembly. The Council provides checks and balances for the actions of the Board, and supports with the review member applications (pdf).
